2007-2008 Texas Turkey Hunting Seasons

Collingsworth County

The annual bag limit for Rio Grande and Eastern turkey, in the aggregate, is four (4), no more than one of which may be an Eastern turkey.

Fall:
Open season: November 3-January 6 (either sex).

Archery Only: September 29-November 2.

Spring:
Rio Grande turkey: Open season: March 29-May 11 (gobblers only).

Special Youth-Only (Rio Grande turkey): Open season: March 22-23 and May 17-18, 2008.

Special Youth Turkey Season: March 29- 30, 2008 (This is a new season recently approved by the Wildlife Conservation Commission. Complete details will be published in the 2007-2008 Hunting Regulations.)
